Chic & Modern Garden Wedding at Glen Manor House

Chic and modern with a touch of whimsy was the design direction for Jenna and Sam’s garden wedding at Glen Manor House in Portsmouth, Rhode Island. Working with Sarah Brehant Events, I created custom stationery and signage for this wedding at the French chateau inspired mansion situated along the Sakonnet River outside of Newport. Recently featured on Carats & Cake, let’s take a look at the pretty details.

In order to complement the overall design and aesthetic of the wedding, I used a relaxed yet refined green brush lettering style throughout the stationery and signage. From table numbers with hand painted borders and place cards to bar menus and reserved signs with luxurious silk ribbon, no detail was left unattended. Truly bespoke from start to finish, this effortlessly chic wedding is a forever favorite.

One of the highlights of this wedding was the creation of the escort card display, which was a perfect homage to the couple’s chic wedding style. The green brush lettering on white rectangular cards in unique wavy card holders created a fresh, modern and whimsical escort card display.

In addition to the green brush lettering, another design theme was the wavy line. This seemingly small detail was carried throughout the entire wedding design, from the escort card holders, to the table numbers, menus and even the aisle shape! A subtle yet impactful detail that highlights the intention behind the beautiful design.
